Final Tour of Catuaí Ahead of Farming Simulator 25: Beans & Alpacas Launch

With Farming Simulator 25: Beans & Alpacas, players are heading to a brand-new map inspired by the rural landscapes of Brazil. Wide, rolling hills meet tropical vegetation on Catuaí, while a winding river cuts through the region, connecting farms, production sites, and a lively village. With the expansion's release just days away, GIANTS Software has shared a final tour of everything the map has to offer.

Rivers, Rainforest, and Red Soil

From the player's first farm, broad hills stretch into the distance while a river winds through nearly the entire map, with wooden bridges connecting roads across the water and leading deeper into the jungle. The region's most distinctive feature is terra roxa, the iron-oxide-rich red soil characteristic of the area. Combined with dense Atlantic rainforest, new trees and bushes, and coffee plantations dotting the hillsides, Catuaí takes on a strong visual identity of its own. The terrain also shapes how the new crops fit into the map, with coffee plantations in particular suited to the sloped, red-soiled hillsides. Regional touches continue down to the roads themselves, including new high-resolution surfaces and hexagonal paving stones around the village.

From the Farm to the Village

Players start out with their own farmhouse and a set of vehicles, with roads leading toward coffee-growing hills, production facilities, the rainforest, and eventually the village at the center of local life. Catuaí includes two gas stations, with the larger one located in the village, along with a variety of production and service points such as a spinnery, logistics center, paper mill, oil refinery, animal dealer, and vehicle dealer. Several new production sites tie directly into the expansion's additions — coffee processing facilities are spread across the map, while a new paint production chain turns dye and resin, sourced from several different materials, into paint at the Paint Factory.

Dry Season Meets Rainy Season

Rather than a snowy winter, Catuaí's climate is defined by a dry season and a rainy season. When the rain falls, the map visibly reacts: puddles form on roads and concrete, the red soil darkens as it absorbs water, and asphalt changes appearance as it gets wet. Different building materials respond differently too — porous brickwork absorbs moisture and changes color, while metal surfaces develop a more reflective wet layer, giving the rainy season a noticeably different atmosphere across the map.

Buildings That Show Their Age

Some buildings around Catuaí change visibly over time, accumulating dirt and gradually losing their fresh coat of paint as they weather. The same system applies to the six new farmhouses included in the expansion — some start out already weathered when placed around the map, while a farmhouse newly built through the construction menu begins freshly painted. Players can leave the weathering as it is for a more rustic look, or supply paint to freshen a building back up.

Wildlife Around Catuaí

Catuaí's lush surroundings are also home to regional wildlife, with parrots and caimans adding extra life to the landscape as players explore the map.

Museum, Research Station, and Hiking Spots

Near the edge of the map, hidden among the rainforest, sits another construction project: a Research Station built in a traditional style with wooden construction and a thatched roof. Inside, informational posters cover local trees and bushes, sugarcane, coffee, alpacas, traditional instruments, and other regional characteristics. A museum in the village lets players display a dinosaur skeleton out front, assembled from bones that must be found scattered across Catuaí. Players who explore on foot will also come across a number of scenic hiking spots offering views over the map.
