Project Motor Racing Update 2.1 Now Available

Project Motor Racing has released its biggest update since launch with the arrival of Update 2.1. Bringing a complete overhaul to the GT3 and GT4 classes alongside the free Aussie Rivals Pack, the update also introduces major multiplayer improvements, enhanced VR support, AI refinements, and a long list of quality-of-life changes. 🏎️🔥
GT3 & GT4 Completely Rebuilt
The headline feature of Update 2.1 is a comprehensive rework of the GT3 and GT4 classes. Straight4 Studios has revised virtually every aspect of the driving experience, including vehicle balance, suspension, gearing, center of gravity, inertia, turbo behavior, aerodynamics, tire performance, and braking systems.
Because of these extensive physics changes, existing vehicle setups are no longer compatible. New default setups have been added to help players adapt to the updated handling model.
Free Aussie Rivals Pack
The update also delivers the Aussie Rivals Pack completely free of charge. The pack introduces the 2013 Holden Commodore VF to the AUS V8 class, reuniting it with the recently reworked Ford Falcon FG and bringing one of Australia's most iconic motorsport rivalries back to life.
Better Multiplayer & Improved Racing
Online racing receives several highly requested improvements. Join-in-Progress now allows players to enter ongoing multiplayer sessions, while a new Ranked Racing notification system helps racers find competitive events more easily.
Beyond multiplayer, the update includes early Alpha triple-screen support, additional VR improvements, smarter AI opponents, visual enhancements, and numerous bug fixes based on community feedback.
The Biggest Update Yet
With sweeping physics revisions, new free content, and major quality-of-life improvements, Update 2.1 represents one of the most significant milestones for Project Motor Racing since its release. Straight4 Studios states that the update is focused on responding to player feedback while laying the foundation for future improvements.
Whether you're chasing faster lap times in GT3 machinery or reliving Australia's legendary V8 rivalry, Update 2.1 offers the most substantial Project Motor Racing experience yet.
